We love getting to offer free events to encourage home educated kids to live their learning and are so excited about this showcase! Kids have the opportunity to choose anyone alive during the 1600's; meaning this could be a family genealogy project (choose someone from your history), a study in government (choose someone that was in politics), science based research (choose someone that changed the face of medicine). Let your and your kids' imaginations run wild!
Kids will pick their person, or group of persons (choose a native nation or townspeople), complete their research at home with their families, create a presentation: think dress up as their person, make a posterboard, have some talking points. On Friday, November 14th, kids and their guardian will come to the Nampa Library and learn and teach with one another!
Some people to consider researching:
Isaac Newton
William Shakespeare
Baruch Spinoza
John Locke
Christina of Sweden
