Tuition and Payment Plans
The Idaho Outdoor School exists to come alongside families and enhance their home schooling path. We want to offer opportunities for social, emotional and mental growth through getting outside in all weather, providing lots of play time, and working through core curriculum material in group project and discussion style methods. We aim to give families back some of the time they give up with home schooling so that they can have the chance to rest, work, spend time with other kids, go on a day date, whatever!
We strive to keep our prices low and competitive with other similar schools in the valley and feel privileged that you would choose to spend your home school funds with us. To that end, we have several ways to complete payment. We are now eligible to be a vendor with The Empowering Parent’s Grant. The Empowering Parent’s Grant was money that was available to Idaho families based on income levels. The program has been going on for several years and has just this year been signed out of legislature. However! If you part of a family that did have funding through them, we are now eligible for that funding. If you would like to sign up for summer camp or fall semester using those funds, please reach out to me right away so that we can start that process together!
Several home schooling families use charter school funds to offset the costs associated with home education. There are programs such as Overture, Harmony, HomeEd360, Braintree, and each of them has their own particular way that they would like to have receipts submitted for reimbursement. The Idaho Outdoor School is fully available for any charter school reimbursement! We are also going to move communication and photographs/videos of class over to the BAND app so that submissions to charter schools and personal records of homeschooling become easier than ever to take care of. Many of the charter schools have different timelines for receipt submission, please reach out to me to get a customized payment plan. I want to make The Idaho Outdoor School as accessible as possible, we will work together to get your receipt submission correct, to get the correct dates in place, etc. without missing the opportunity to sign your kids up.
Whether you are going to be using charter school funds or not, if you are needing to break your tuition up into two payments, please let me know. We have had several families that have paid the non-refundable 50% of tuition and then the first week of class paid their balance. This allows them to have more space in their budget and plan accordingly.
We have tried to make The Idaho Outdoor School payment process and registration as seamless as possible; our supply fee is included in our registration price, we offer an early bird discount, as well as multiple child and class discounts. That being said, sometimes we get it wrong! We are a small team and discounts get missed or incorrectly applied, please always reach out, we are here to serve your family!
