Camp Overview: Come practice and refine your survival skills with The Idaho Outdoor School! We will learn all about the basics of being able to survive in Idaho’s wilderness while spending time with friends!

Learning Activities:

  • Each camp will follow a rotation of themed learning goals and projects:

  • Day 1: Knot Tying/Foraging Basics

  • Day 2: Whittling/Weaving

  • Day 3: Shelter Building/Navigation

  • Day 4: Fire Creation Challenges/First Aid Overview

Camp Details:

  • Ages: Designed for homeschooled students ages 6-12

  • Format: Drop-off program

  • Environment: Fully outdoors- students should come dressed for the weather. Summertime means sturdy, water appropriate footwear, sunscreen and LOTS of water.

  • Supplies: All materials provided- please bring a pocket knife if available!

  • Class Balance: Ample time is set aside for structured learning, building friendships and lots of free play!

Additional Info:

  • Children will need to come with a lunch and snacks packed and there will be water play in shallow parts of the river. If you have any restrictions in regard to these activities- please notify us!

  • Discounts of 10% for siblings and/or multiple camp enrollments.
