Overview:
This class will start with an overview of several types of government, before narrowing the focus to the US government and the many organizations that function within it.
Class Highlights:
Dive into the making of the US government, learning all about the functions and abilities of each entity
Participate in group projects and debates to recreate government actions in our classroom
Spend time narrowing the focus and scope until the class creates its own mock government
Learn how to get involved in government
Details:
Designed as a drop-off program for homeschooled students ages 9-14
All supplies and materials included
Completely outdoors – students should dress for the weather and be ready to learn
Balanced structure with time for both focused learning and peer connection
Weekly email recaps detail what was covered in class
Additional Info:
No outside work is required, but content can easily be extended at home and documented for charter school submissions
Sibling and multi-class discounts of 10% available
For all classes, we will keep all communication to the BAND app. Families will have access to photos and a quicker way to communicate.
