Logic and Critical Thinking
Overview:
Using nature as a backdrop, this class will explore how to become effective communicators and problem solvers by teaching our students how to argue and fully develop their thoughts and opinions.
Class Highlights:
Use movement-based and outdoor games to reinforce logic skills
Explore cause and effect, patterns and predictions, trial and error, reason and creative problem solving
Draw developing minds into a place where they must think about solutions and plans with an end goal in mind
Develop problem-solving and critical thinking with group activities
Connect abstract concepts to real-life applications in nature
Details:
Designed as a drop-off program for homeschooled students ages 9-14
All supplies and materials included
Completely outdoors – students should dress for the weather and be ready to learn
Balanced structure with time for both focused learning and peer connection
Weekly email recaps detail what was covered in class
Additional Info:
No outside work is required, but content can be extended at home and used for charter school documentation
Sibling and multi-class discounts of 10% available
For all classes, we will keep all communication to the BAND app. Families will have access to photos and a quicker way to communicate.
