Government – Exploring Systems & Civic Understanding
Overview:
This engaging class introduces students to various types of government, with a special focus on the structure and function of the U.S. government. Through hands-on activities and interactive learning, students will gain a strong foundational understanding of civics.
Class Highlights:
Learn about different forms of government around the world
Deep dive into U.S. government, including branches and how laws are made
Play acting and group projects bring concepts to life
Encourages critical thinking and active participation
Details:
Designed as a drop-off program for homeschooled students ages 9-14
All supplies and materials included
Completely outdoors – students should dress for the weather and be ready to learn
Balanced structure with time for both focused learning and peer connection
Weekly email recaps detail what was covered in class
Additional Info:
No outside work is required, but content can easily be extended at home and documented for charter school submissions
Sibling and multi-class discounts available
For all classes, we are going to move all communication to the BAND app. Families will have access to photos and a quicker way to communicate.
