Natural Sciences – Fall Semester: Physics in Nature
Overview:
This fall, our Natural Sciences class will dive into the world of physics, using the natural environment as our interactive classroom. Students will explore real-world applications through hands-on experiments, student-led research, and engaging group projects.
Class Highlights:
Focus on physics concepts through nature-based experiments
Emphasis on group collaboration and project-based learning
Student-driven research to foster curiosity and critical thinking
Outdoor learning environment with real-world application of scientific principles
Details:
Designed as a drop-off program for homeschooled students ages 6–12
All supplies and materials included
Entirely outdoors – children must come dressed for the weather and ready to explore
Balance of structured learning and free time to build friendships
Weekly email recaps to keep families informed about class activities
Additional Info:
No outside work required, but optional activities may enrich at-home learning and simplify charter school submissions
Sibling and multi-class discounts of available
For all classes, we are going to move all communication to the BAND app, families will have access to photos and a quicker way to communicate.
